What can I say? My name is John Gilbert. Thank you so much for the coverage of FEAR magazine - The Great White Space is fantastic! Yes, I was the Editor all those years ago and intent to be again early next year. A few years ago we had attempted to get FEAR resurrected but, due to personal reasons it did not happen. I have, however, quite recently been talking to printers, designers and writers about resurrecting it and taking on what I can only describe as the few middle of the road magazine such as Sci-Fi Now that are out there on the UK market. if anyone is interesting in helping me to relaunch, please let me know.

All the best, John

memories of merchie! can you let me have a copy of this story please brother?
what did happen to the mouse? did you drown it?

do you remember at Holly cottage when father went down the well, on a ladder, in the back orchard and found an old tin covered in oil with a dead mouse in it - covered in oil too...... that image has stuck with me.

arrrr.

Hi Higlander - am in agreement with you completely with regards the title - athough it's a nice catch-all for the various relationships being explored within the story, it's not spooky enough by any means!

Loved The Lovers, thought it brought together all the subtly mystique of the previous Parker books into a great supernatural whole. Not sure the name does the book justice though and wondered if it might put your average horror fan off?

Totally agree mate. Was so looking forward to it as I adore Dead Birds. Saw this a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. The grunts are portrayed with stereotypical shallowness and stupidity (and technically there are a lot of issues here as far as kit is concerned); the setting looks about as much like Afghan as my front room does; the plot is just shot full of inconsistencies and the scares...meh... Decent enough concept but fatally flawed.

I too was disapointed with Dead Wood... I had high hopes for the feature length version of the movie.

I'd enjoyed the short film version, which I've screened at FantasyCon as part of my 'ShortFilm' Showcase.
